New Order Art Gallery

Today we've got a special treat for you, since several new pieces of New Order artwork have been made since my last art post. Won't you join me for a little stroll through the art world's latest?

First, Agent Sir Robin Idle uses his paintbrush to draw a contrast between the miners who have permits and those who go without:

Sir Robin's argument is worth more than a thousand words, as I'm sure you'll agree. Next, a piece from Agent Ricky the Rat, who ponders the essential nature of a miner:

Continuing with the theme of contrasts is Iam Thanatos' own contribution:

Then we have shareholder supreme Daniel Plain's passionate exhortation:

But wait, we're not done yet! In response to the declaration of my CSM candidacy, EnterprisePSI put out this brief video response, which reflects the sense of hope and optimism that I would bring to that august body, if elected.

Permanent links to all supporter artwork may be found on the Links page.

Uh-oh! It seems the rebels are still making their own "art". Alonzo Harris offered his take on the Batman meme and posted it on his anti-Order blog (these things pop up like weeds, don't they?): Free Highsec.

Silly rebels, highsec is not there so people can make easy spacebucks in total safety whilst AFK. Highsec is a place where people can follow the Code.

  1. Why do the New Order opponents find it so difficult to come up with coherent cogent arguments? I was genuinely looking forwards to some witty retort propaganda as I clicked on that link and I was mightily crestfallen. A low effort "fuck off" seems to be the limit of debate. It's lazy, lacks humour, is devoid of argument, and incoherent - wtf does the biohazard symbol mean in the context of that cartoon?
Propaganda, art, cartoons, all have the potential to convey meaning, criticism, social comment, wit, feeling, satire, even argument.
All of this was missing. The most telling loss of all being that of humour, reading down from the header cartoon as least warns me what to expect, poor unreasoned drivel. I find the use of the George Carlin quote ironic almost to the point of being offensive considering how little thinking has gone into the words above it.

At the glorious announcement by James 315 on Sunday, not one new order disbeliever would come into team speak despite promises of no ad hominem and a warm a friendly reception. Ironically many refusals to engage in meaningful debate were themself ad hominem attacks on those making the offer to debate.

I've come to the conclusion so far in my life that when someone refuses to debate with another on a topic of contention that the refusal to debate is due to a lack of a proper argument - otherwise they'd use it if they have one.

I can only assume that the refusal to engage in cogent reasoned debate, the calling of school yard names, the threats, the endless petitions to CCP despite CCP already making statements on the matter by opponents of the New Order are all proof that opponents of the New Order really don't have a single clear reasoned argument to back up their point of view.

Also one hint for New Order apoplectics - a sense of humour and perspective lead to a much happier life both in and outside of Eve.

  4. Alonzo Harris has declared victory and gone home. He says he won't be continuing his website because he's "won" (somehow) and nothing is left but for the New Order to be mopped up.
