You might have heard about some New Order Agents who got banned during the week of September 7th @ 00:00 EVEtime through September 13th @ 23:59 EVEtime. They weren't banned for enforcing the Code, but there were indeed some bans issued. Carebears heard the news and thought it was a good time to begin violating the Code. This was a costly mistake. Nerfs and bans against content creators only enhance our recruitment efforts. New allies flocked to the Order. And the carebears who stepped out of line were brought to justice.
Case in point, becky84. Her triple-anti-tanked freighter lacked a permit. Weighing in at 19 billion isk, this is one of the most expensive freighter ganks we've conducted; it actually ended up on the front page of zKillboard.
Agents Krominal, Walter Kramer, John E Normus, Gunther Cucs, Chuang Chou, Levi Holdings Stofer, PERUNGA, RonPaul Rox, Deathzone Maken, loyalanon, Alyssa Severasse, Keraina Talie-Kuo, CALDARI CITIZEN 14330909 (the Agent formerly known as Anal Canal), Barton Bastanold, Maurice Erquilenne, Mia Pawsaldo, Zi'el Aubaris, Davin Nix, Jenny Canwyth, and Maria Padecain executed the gank.
Speaking of new allies: The Loot Fairy finally came around. Our Agents confiscated 17 billion isk worth of goods. It will be put to proper use, rather than being wasted on frivolous things by the likes of becky84.
Hailey Clauson. Oh Hailey. Hailey, Hailey, Hailey, Hailey. Several weeks ago, Hailey sent a virtually empty freighter into lowsec for no good reason, where it was promptly killed. This week, she sent a jump freighter through my territory, on autopilot and AFK. That was even more reckless.
Agents John E Normus, CALDARI CITIZEN 14330909 (the Agent formerly known as Anal Canal), Davin Nix, PERUNGA, Gunther Cucs, Krominal Antos Docarus, Mia Pawsaldo, Snarky Samaritan, Walter Kramer, loyalanon, Levi Holdings Stoffer, Supremacyy, Zi'el Aubaris, RonPaul Rox, Chuang Chou, Maurice Erquilenne, Maria Padecain, Barton Bastanold, Lady Ati, Geiv Memei, Straggiz Rotineque, Deathzone Maken, Alyssa Severasse, Destroyer Of Soul2, and Tyler Twilley asked Hailey why she didn't have a permit, but she was AFK and on autopilot. They killed her.
In retaliation, Hailey changed her bio to rant about CODE. For some reason, she believes it's better for someone to murder a stripper in real life than to gank a jump freighter in highsec. She probably feels that way because she's a jump freighter pilot, but who knows? Maybe she's always held that opinion.
Upon further reflection, Hailey changed her bio yet again, this time suggesting that our Agents "rob an old lady" instead of enforcing the Code. She also unveiled a truly novel strategy for her guerilla war against the Order: She'll continue to lose jump freighters to waste our time. Sun Tzu would be impressed. Hailey Clauson is a very special lady.
Lately there's been a trend of New Order Agents destroying unlicensed POS equipment in our territory. The Prancing Pony corp lost 1.5 billion isk worth when Agent Mildron Klinker launched a series of attacks against them. Carebears, if you wish to do business in highsec, please make sure you get your paperwork in order. Okay?
Most of our Agents weren't born yesterday. They know the difference between a tanked industrial ship and one that only makes a token effort at being tanked. Seraphima N fooled no one with her fail-fit Tayra, which happened to be carrying a few hundred million isk in cargo. Agent Zasar of the New Order's "Department of Transportation" division was shocked by Seraphima's poor manners--she failed to salute him in local. In fact, she was AFK. Zasar was disappointed by Seraphima's failure, but he did what he had to do.
Remember when CCP created Ventures for the purpose of ninja-mining outside of highsec? The carebears didn't get the message. CCP realized they needed to be even more obvious, so they created the "Prospect", a covert ops mining ship! Unfortunately, there's just no helping some people. Kirby Alfrir fit his covert ops mining ship with a cloak and warp core stabilizers... and went AFK. Agent Ima Wreckyou taught Kirby a valuable lesson, but who knows if he got it.
Koroya Akuma lost the Pod of the Week. Eve-Kill.net didn't properly value the heavy assault missiles implant; zKillboard puts the pod's value at over 2.6 billion isk. That's some fancy equipment for a Retriever pilot! Agent Just Got OutOfJail knows how to read people. When he saw Koroya, he knew what was up. Koroya's Retriever was destroyed and our hero took aim at the juicy pod inside.
Long story short, the New Order isn't going anywhere. Carebears, time to suck it up and get yourself a permit.
Everyone should war Dec goatfreetrajistics and the foundation to protect endangered carebears. As well as incest is beat. They're all the same sister corps of each other. They teach dangerous ways for players to play.
ReplyDeleteBlanket calling all haulers "carebears" is one of the reasons you lose a lot of members, and a lot of willing members do not join.
ReplyDeleteSorry James, your rhetoric is highly amusing but your inability to not accuse everyone and their mother of being a carebear is quite toxic.
would-be members* not willing
DeleteIf you AFK haul in highsec using autopilot, you're a carebear. Carebear is a more a state of mind than any occupation in particular.
Deletelol cry harder
DeleteHow is a hauler NOT a carebear?
Delete~Borgia
Borgia - A JF hauler for a nullsec alliance who's careful and plans their routes is not a carebear. A hauler who fits tank and does the Rens - Jita run manually jumping from stargate to stargate and watching the star map for systems with recent 'splosions to avoid them is not a carebear.
DeleteThere's a food chain to PvP, you see. No one looks for a fair fight, because that's stupid. You hunt those weaker than yourself. Just like a natural ecosystem. Haulers and miners are the bottom of that food chain. A miner or hauler can engage in PvP simply by playing smart, adding tank, and paying attention, much like rabbits are engaged in the hunt with the foxes by staying fit, alert, and keeping escape routes in mind. There's a reason most carnivores fail most of their hunts: their prey is smart and aware. Rabbits don't eat grass AFK.
Someone who refuses to acknowledge that they're engaged in PvP by playing a PvP game are carebears. Doesn't matter if you mine, run missions, haul, or play the markets. If you aren't constantly looking over your shoulder for the guy out to get you, you're playing like a carebear. If you're running in highsec with ships you can't afford to replace, you're playing like a carebear. If you assume that the game is (or should be) set up to protect you from other players, you're a carebear.
Again, it's not what profession you chose in the game, it's how you go about it. Carebear is a state of mind, not a profession.
Anon at 1:51 AM
DeleteThat's a pretty damn compelling argument - especially that 3rd paragraph. I have no rebuttal. Well said.
~Borgia
Agreed.
DeleteAnon 1:51 nailed it. We may have found our second apology. Only in the Code can you find this kind of truth and enlightenment.
DeleteAnon 1:51, excellent write up. Ask your self though; would these non-carebear industrial types be caught by our gank squads? Sure, we might get a small handful of attentive players, but the vast majority of what we catch is afk, autopiloting, or not checking system statistics before entering.
DeleteBebop, I'm assuming that Anon 1:51 is not the same as Anon 11:09; Anon 1:51's post was much superior in every respect.
DeleteHow many of your fanbois have been banned?
ReplyDeleteThe only thing that I sadly feel will stay truly banned might be my name. Other than that, these posts show that The Code is still winning. Like we always do.
DeleteHoly loot fairy is correct. The Gods have smiled upon James 315 and The Knights of Haliama.
ReplyDeletePraise Be Upon Thee!

Lame...just more blown up ships. No indication of any actual success of changing the risk/reward in highsec. 400 billion down the drain - and just a total heap of FAIL.
ReplyDeleteWell it is a "Spaceship Combat Game", so more blown up ships is a good thing.
DeleteJust curious on what you would consider a success in a "Spaceship Combat Game"?
Veers considers any moment that he can brag about how awesome he is a success.
Delete~Borgia
Lame... just more words and tears. No actual success in convincing anyone of you're abilities/skills. 10,000 key presses down the drain - and just a total heap of FAIL.
DeleteWell, I hope I played a part in getting the CODE folks banned with my forum posts.
DeleteAs far as what success would be, it would be if CODE really did significantly lessen highsec mining, hauling, etc... or got thousands of players to buy permits. Both are not happening so far.
^^ See?
Delete"Veers - It's all about ME!"
~Borgia
Veers thinking he is important. I lold +1
DeleteLOL. Mr Veldspar now says blowing up spaceships in an internet blowing up spaceships game is irrelevant.
DeleteFunny how hard he has to twist logic in order to feel relevant. Must be what they teach in the Ivy leagues.
The Code always wins. \o/
"It's all about me"
DeleteThe obvious truth that Veers sees
All must see it too
CODE's purpose was not to blow up spaceships, it was to change highsec. It has entirely failed in that endeavor. AFK, botting, mining, hauling, these things are more plentiful than ever. And CODE agents are quickly disappearing.
DeleteD400 - banned - good riddance!
Jerry Rin - banned(?)
DJ - banned(?)
No change in highsec?
DeleteLook around, see any hulks?
I didn't think so
Now Veers the grandiose, Eternal Carebear, creator of Veers' Tears, first of his name, knows what the Supreme Protector's intentions. The greatness of the Eternal Carebear is truly beyond us.
DeleteSince you claim to be an educated person, what is your evidence that CODE is failing to change highsec in the ways you desscribe? What evidence do you have that “AFK, botting, mining, hauling...are more plentiful than ever”? Facts, statistics, expert testimony, large scale observation, and the like are evidence - your hyperbolic ranting is not.
A small number of players being banned (you offered one banned and two maybes) for unexplained reasons (bear in CCP has made no statement on this matter) is hardly evidence that “CODE agents are quickly disappearing”. What other evidence do you have that we are withering?
Evidence of New Order success on the other hand is abundant no matter how much you choose to ignore it or try to spin it as trivial. There is now an entire community devoted to countering us (emergent game play - a New Order goal). Billions of ISK in illegal shipping have been destroyed (evidence of an altered risk vs. reward landscape - a New Order goal). Skiffs and procurers in both ice belts and asteroid belts now appear to outnumber retrievers and mackinaws (indicating changed attitudes toward tanking as an acknowledgement of increased risk - a New Order goal). I am not sure of how many permits we have issued, but each one is evidence of a change in highsec. I am sure others could add to this list.
In my area of operation I now have trouble finding targets I can solo gank. For the most part there are few illegal miners left in many of my systems - indicating increased risk has forced them to move (change in the risk v. reward profile forcing altered play patterns - a New Order goal). I have made a number of permit sales, and these miners exist in peace and profit.
As for the rest? Retrievers and mackinaws (and often skiffs and procurers) disappear off d-scan moments after my scout comes into a system (docking up because not afk mining - a New Order goal). Many now fly heavily tanked mackinaws, skiffs, or procurers (switching from yield/capacity to tank, indicating increased risk awareness because of a change in the risk vs. reward profile - a New Order goal). They sometimes try to set traps for me or camp me (engaged, emergent game play - a New Order goal).
So my own experience and observations provide evidence that my CODE enforcement has made a change in my part of highsec. I won’t try to generalize to all of highsec, and I am not claiming a causal relationship. However, there is a correlation between my activity and these positive changes in my patrol area. Again, I am sure others can add to this body of evidence.
I am not sure what measures up to your standard of change. I am fairly certain it is a horizon line you move to fit the needs of what you claim to be an "argument". That said all that I have presented is evidence that the New Order is changing highsec.
~Borgia
Very well said sister Borgia. St. Veers of the CareBears is blinded by his own tears. Could not see truth even if it was targeting him 1 km off his bow.
DeleteSister Maria, I think you should be the poet laureate for the New Order. Wit and truth in it's purest form. Beautiful.
So, Veers, in your "mind", the purpose of the New Order is to change Highsec, and the purpose of Veers Belvar is to get EVE players banned? Is that accurate?
DeleteActually Veers, Code has succeeded in changing high sec..hence your very existence. What would you be if it weren't for Code? Just another of the many obscure carebears that litter high sec. You should be thankful..Code has given you some sort of meaning beyond your own narcissism. Is there every anything that comes out of your mouth that's not "me me me"? You are nothing but what Code has allowed you to become. You are no savior..you are no hero..you are just another failed, wannabe "leader" to a cause that failed from its very inception. You fight no fight, you only use the Code and its actions to try to make yourself look important. Try achieving something on your own first. Then, maybe, you'll be taken seriously. I see no definitive action that makes you any more special than a first day noob. Get over yourself. You only make yourself look more and more foolish every time you type. A lawyer you say? Not a surprise. Lawyers are the most hated, lying, cheating, narcissistic sob's out there. The truth is, if you really wanted to help those other than yourself, you'd just leave them alone rather than add fuel to the fire.
DeletePardon me if I don't take advice to dec people from somebody who spams and advocates putting a bounty on somebody. You have a grudge and want them dec'd? Then pay for it. I don't like people trying to manipulate me into doing things in this game, it goes against everything I stand for.
ReplyDeleteVery nice kills. What is it with care bears and their defiant "I'll keep auto piloting even if it kills me" strategy of late? Alas, they have us now, they have found our Achilles heel! We are unable to deal with afk freighters and pods mindlessly throwing themselves at us, how on earth did they figure that out?
"I don't like people trying to manipulate me into doing things in this game..."
ReplyDeleteSoooo you DON'T agree with the bonus room?
Congratulations on the massive Freighter haul, guys!
ReplyDeleteCargo drop, eyes pop.
-Herr Wilkus-
I don't like being scammed or awoxed. I strongly approve of attempting it though. I just choose not to fall for it.
ReplyDeleteVeers! I love that 19B freighter! Maybe if Dryson had been there with the scissoring then it could have been stopped. I wouldn't have at all since The Code always wins.
ReplyDeleteNot sure if you realized this or not, but about half the people on the Arc kill are Gallente Militia members. Even the Federation's lowsec citizens enforce the code when they visit highsec, because freedom.
