As a postscript, I understand that some bot-aspirants and carebears tend to get a bit fixated on the New Order's isk. They speculate about the Treasury going bankrupt, or the money disappearing, etc. This is typical of bot-aspirants, since they view EVE entirely through the prism of money. I would urge them to calm down and take this opportunity to embrace the Code and all it does for highsec. It's true that this hundred billion isk purchase will result in trillions of isk in losses for carebears over the following months. Not to worry. Our Agents will ensure that the right people get ganked.

The historic church, located in Charleston, South Carolina, is sponsored by The Evangelical Movement of Carebear Empowerment. ReplyDeleteits interesting that you all talk about bots and bot aspirant miners, and yet here you all (or at least a great many of you) are pvp bot aspirants, using the exact same ship and fit everytime, no difference, no variance, just bot like behaviour to maximize your chances. And while I personally can understand why you do this, it is against your code, and thus you should stop, and use your mind.

DeleteWe consciously use the fits we use because we they do the most damage in the least amount of time for the costs. It is not unheard of us to use Thrashers for gank destroyers if we determine that a target has weak EM resists, thus proving your assertation false and you wrong.
But most of the time, we are dealing with Freighters and Retrievers. Both of which are perfectly fine with good old "High-DPS" Catalysts.
And there is nothing in the Code that says that our tactics need variation. We win always, no? If you were playing chess, and you won 100% of the time, like we do, why would youchange up your strategy?
Sure I understand that you might want a little bit of flavor to your chess game, but EVE Online, and the New Order, is all about winning, over miners, at any cost. And as such, variation on our tactics becomes the responsibility of our beaten opponents to adapt to. If our victories force it to change its behaviour pattern, then we have also won a philosophicalvictory, in addition to our regular military victory.
And in the end, it is our stated goal to reform the miner by giving it no other choice but to accept and obey the Code.
I am using my mind, and as such, I do expect the mentality of 'win at all cost'.

I can completely understand and agree with what you have said Ming, and in all MMO's I've played regardless of the amount or variety given to players, there will always be a best and worst of everything, if thats DPS or mining.
My only point with the above post was to highlight the similarities between the two (dps/gank and mining).
I guess the only other thing that I would raises, is that it would be nice to see things a little more equal, if the code is specifically against mining with decadent fittings, then perhaps it should also be against those other classes of people with such decadent fittings.
For those that are defensive please remember this is not to be inferred as critical.
