The time has come. CCP has officially approved and implemented CODE.'s in-game logo, which was designed by Gurty Jones. CODE.'s logo also appears everywhere else EVE alliance logos get automatically pulled from the API (killboards, etc.).
For copyright reasons, CCP overlays a sort of watermark of dirt and grime on all alliance logos, to create a unique image. This happens to fit in nicely with Gurty's "frayed poster" theme.
Today, all who love the New Order should rejoice. (Everyone else should rejoice, too, but they probably won't.) To my knowledge, this is the first time an EVE alliance logo has ever been based on the character portrait of an individual player. It is only fitting that James 315 should be given that honour--a character who technically isn't a member of the alliance, no less. It is the ultimate vindication of man and Code. The New Order cannot be referred to accurately as a "cult of personality". It is a fully functioning state, and everyone in highsec lives in it.
Now, whenever a carebear's attention is drawn to CODE., he must come to terms with the reality of my face and what it represents. The bot-aspirant can no longer bury his head in the sand. He must account for his actions to the Saviour of Highsec, now and ALWAYS.
O joyful day!
ReplyDeleteYes, it is, I have new artwork for my dartboard, I'll never miss the Howard with that logo up there...
ReplyDeleteWell done, Gurty Jones!
ReplyDeleteGlad Orange was the color chosen. Fits perfectly with the preferred bumping ship of James 315, the Invincible Stabber.
ReplyDeletePraise him! Praise him!
